Emerald Leaf

This pendant follows a vertical, elongated leaf silhouette, naturally guiding the eye downward. A subtle raised line runs through the center, echoing the main vein of a leaf and dividing the surface into two softly curved halves. The enamel is translucent and layered, allowing the copper beneath to influence the tone. Emerald green deepens toward the center, while lighter edges glow where the glass thins near the border. During firing, small air bubbles and organic cellular patterns formed within the vitreous enamel, giving the surface depth rather than polish. Light passes through the glass and settles along the central vein, emphasizing the vertical geometry. The oxidized copper edge frames the green interior, grounding the vivid color in warm metallic contrast. The reverse side remains textured and raw, preserving the material honesty of the piece.
