This pendant begins with a precise radial engraving — a sun carved into copper, structured and balanced. The geometry is clear, almost graphic, with sharp triangular rays surrounding a calm circular center. On its own, the motif feels grounded and solid. The transformation happens in the firing. Layers of deep cobalt and turquoise enamel fragments melt and settle into the engraved surface. The glass softens the strict geometry, spreading organically across the rays and pooling in irregular clusters. The result is a dialogue between structure and spontaneity. Dark patina frames the composition, while the enamel introduces depth and movement. Light penetrates the translucent blues, reflecting differently from each fragment, creating subtle shifts rather than uniform shine. The back remains oxidized and textured, keeping the material presence intact.
