Turquoise Vortex

The rotated square form gives this pendant a quiet tension. Worn as a diamond, it creates a strong vertical presence while the inner spiral introduces motion within the still geometry. At the center, the enamel gathers into a raised, flowing pattern — a vortex-like structure shaped by both engraving and high-temperature firing. The glass softened and settled into curved channels, forming a dynamic swirl that contrasts with the stable outer frame. Around it, a crystalline turquoise texture expands toward the edges, revealing delicate cellular structures created during cooling. Scattered dark inclusions punctuate the surface like fragments suspended in water. Light moves across the ridges of the spiral and diffuses into the softer outer field, giving the pendant a sense of depth and layered space. The oxidized copper on the reverse preserves the imprint of the original structure — a memory of heat and handwork.
