Aqua Constellation

This piece is defined by depth rather than relief. The circular form holds a softly recessed center, creating a shallow basin within the copper frame. Concentric rings subtly structure the composition, guiding the eye inward. The enamel surface shifts through layered turquoise and blue-green tones. During high-temperature firing, crystalline patterns formed along the outer edge, creating a delicate cellular texture. Dark inclusions and scattered black accents appear suspended within the glass, adding contrast and a sense of organic unpredictability. Light reflects differently across the raised rim and the inner depression, giving the surface quiet movement. The oxidized copper on the reverse side reveals the raw material beneath the luminous enamel — a dialogue between fire, metal, and glass.
