The Story of One Craftsman in Prague

A short story about time, materials, and working by hand in Prague.

I have been creating and selling my handmade copper enamel jewelry at Charles Bridge in Prague since 1986.

After leaving my previous job, I opened a small stall and began selling pieces that I designed and made by hand.

Charles Bridge has a long tradition of artists and craftsmen, and I am proud to be part of that heritage.

I work mainly with copper and vitreous glass enamel using traditional firing techniques. Each piece is made entirely by hand, without molds or mass production.

I never copy others — every design begins as a sketch and is shaped through careful work, firing, and time. Over the years, my jewelry has found homes all over the world.

Some visitors return after many years, telling me they still wear the pieces they bought long ago. That is what gives this work meaning.

Materials & Process

My work is based on simple materials and traditional techniques. I focus on a slow process and direct contact with the material.

You can see the results of this process in a selection of my recent works.
